Obituary

Fidel B. Flores, age 74 of Mathis passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Mr. Flores was born on April 24, 1946 in Pawnee, TX to Ramon Flores & Graviela B. Amaya. He worked as a laborer and enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Maria G. Flores, partner; Lydia Gutierrez, his parents, and two brothers; Erasmo (Ida) Amaya, and Claudio (Emelia) Veliz.

Survivors include one son; Fidel (Bernadette) Flores, Jr. of New Caney, TX, three daughters; Rose (Edward) Munoz, Diana (Rudy) Munoz of Beeville, TX, Gabriela Gutierrez of Mathis, TX and one brother; Rogelio (Mary) Flores of New Home, TX, twin sister; Adeilida (Ubaldo) Arguijo of Mathis, TX, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00p.m. Visitation will resume at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 9:00a.m. – 10:00a.m. with a mass celebration starting at 10:00a.m. Interment to follow at Descanso Eterno #2 Cemetery in Mathis.
