Shedric L. Lewis, Jr. was born to Shedric and Clara Lewis on December 14, 1938.
He attended Lott Canada School and started driving trucks at the tender age of 14. He drove trucks for over 60 years hauling everything from cotton, to cattle, to oil and gas. Those who knew him know that the only thing he liked better than being in a truck, was telling stories of all his years driving a truck.
Shedric loved his family and during his years in California, he was devoted to his Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church family as well.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Clara E. Lewis and Shedric L. Lewis, Sr., Gloria J. Lewis (wife), Shedric H. Lewis (son), Marcus Green (grandson), siblings Endia E. Elligan, Douglas M. Bright, David Bright, and William Dexter Bright.
Left behind to celebrate his life are sons Byron L. Lewis of Oxnard, CA, Justin D. Lewis of Corpus Christi, TX and Charleston (Cynthia) Bess of Sinton, TX, daughters Sonya L. Lewis of Corpus Christi, TX and Charlotte (A.C.) Stovall of Corpus Christi, TX, siblings Shelby (Adrinna) Lewis of Beeville, TX, Glenda Dembo of Beeville, TX, and Linda Taylor of Columbus, OH, grandchildren Jonathan (Brianna) Mack of Beeville, TX, Whitney Lewis of Los Angeles, CA, Blayne Lewis of Oxnard, CA, Jasmyne Watkins of Ventura, CA, Jacoby Lewis of Sinton, TX, Marcus A. Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Gabriel Green of San Antonio, TX and Gabriella Morón of Corpus Christi, TX and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Thursday, January 31st from 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. Funeral services will also be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Friday, February 1st at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Eric R. Tarver, officiating. Interment to follow at Saint Rose Cemetery
Pallbearers will be, T.j. Lewis, David (DJ) Bright, Gabriel Green, Robin Bright, George Bright, and Billy Fitts.
