Eva Guadalupe (Alaniz) Chapa, 63, of Beeville, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Corpus Christi.
Ms. Chapa was born Nov. 30, 1954, in Normanna to Manuel and Baleriana Alaniz. She graduated from A.C. Jones High School and was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law; Trinidad (Esteban) Cortez
Survivors include her companion, Frutoso Posada Jr. of Beeville; two daughters, Maria Chapa and Jennifer Chapa Herbst, both of Beeville; two sons, Adrian (Cris) Alaniz of Corpus Christi and Erasmo (Sarah) Chapa III of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, Vito Vasquez of Dallas; a sister, Maria (Jesse) Gomez of Gregory; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Treviño Funeral Home with a rosary recited there at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. today (Friday) at St. James Catholic Church with Father Paul Kottackal, officiating. Burial followed in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers were Branson Chapa, Ramon Alaniz, Frutoso Posada Jr., Erasmo Chapa III, David Sanchez and Gabriel Gomez.
