Enrique R. “Henry” Ramirez, 75, of Beeville, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Ramirez was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Corpus Christi to Maria (Rodriguez) and Jesus E. Ramirez Sr. He graduated A.C. Jones High School and earned a bachelors degree from St. Mary’s University. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a professional licensed court interpreter for 15 years, worked for AT&T for 20 years and was a public servant and a master of ceremonies for any occasion.
He was a Mexican Folk artist and did cable wiring in Mexico City and was also involved in imports and exports in Mexico City. He was a Catholic and was a former substitute at A.C. Jones High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Jesus E. Ramirez Sr.; and a brother, Jesus Ramirez Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Risa Ramirez of San Antonio; a son Daniel Ortiz of Austin; two grandsons, Michael Williams and Andres Williams; a brother, David (Rosa) Ramirez of Beeville; and two sisters, Yolanda (Frank) Maldonado and Lidia Sauceda, both of Beeville.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home with a rosary recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jacob Valayath officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be Albert Sauceda, Frank Maldonado Jr., Carlos Garcia, Michael Williams, Arnold Ramirez and Paul Hernandez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, Andres Ramirez, Martha Sauceda and Sonia Sauceda.
