Alfredo “Fred” A. Garcia, Jr. age 76, of Beeville answered the call to rest on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Mr. Garcia was born on October 26, 1942 in Beeville to Alfredo & Rosa (Ayala) Garcia, Sr. He was a professional truck driver for many years, loved to fish and would often spend hours sharing with friends and family how many places he would visit as he drove. Fred was a hard worker, and a joy to be around. He is preceded in death by his parents; Alfredo & Rosa Garcia, Sr., spouse; Paula Trevino Garcia,  sister; Alma Rosa Presa, brother; Luvin A. Garcia, two nieces; Veronica Garcia Ramsden, Monica Presa, and nephew; Robert Garcia, and brother-in-law; Maurice Govella. Cherishing his memory are three sisters; Cindy Govella, Linda (Noe) Moreno of Beeville, and Janie Ong of Rosenburg, one sister-in-law; Lillie Garcia of Houston, one granddaughter; Kristen (Adolfo) Garza, nephews and nieces; Gerard (Priscilla) Moreno, Alfredo (Jessica) Garcia, Dolores (Bill) Doughty, Mirey (Jesse) Longoria, Romi Presa, Lynesa (Ramsey) Gamez, Marisa (Gilbert) Longoria, Mae-li (Daniel) Perez, Audra Garcia, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14th from 2:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00p.m. He will lie in repose at Our Lady of Victory Church on Wednesday, May 15th from 9:00a.m. – 9:50a.m. and the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. with Father Luke, officiating. He will rest and await the resurrection at Beeville Memorial Park.
