Mabel J. Taylor, age 66 of Beeville passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Mrs. Taylor was born on September 16, 1951 in Mathis to Arthur & Lillie Mae (Jackson) Jones. She was a retired L.V.N. and a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. As a faithful member of Bethlehem she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served as B.T.U.  Director, and participated in the women’s ministry. She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Kevin Taylor, two grandsons; Phillip Q. Taylor, Jr., Zacharias Taylor, and other family members. Survivors include Charles Taylor, Jr. of Dallas, two sons; Charles (Teresa) Taylor, III, Phillip (April) Taylor, Sr. of Beeville, three daughters; Joy (Russell) Williams of Dallas, Ivory Miller of Beeville, Ebony (Leonard) Ephraim of Dallas, four brothers; Leroy Hollingshed of Starksville, MS, Arthur (Barbara) Jones of Floresville, Oliver (Debra) Jones of San Antonio, Lue (Sara) Eichelberger of Mathis, five sisters; Linda Davis of Sinton, Sharon (Rev. Michael) Smith of Mission, Mollie Barefield of Beeville, Elaine (George) Soto of Sinton, Novella Ousley of San Antonio, 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Friday, October 13th from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Homegoing celebration will be at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, October 14th at 3:00p.m. with Rev. Eric R. Tarver, officiating. Interment to follow at Saint Rose Cemetery.
