Frank Garza of Bastrop formerly of Beeville passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Lost Pines Nursing & Rehab. He was 90. Mr. Garza was born on February 11, 1927 in Beeville to Rafael & Valentina (Gutierrez) Garza. He was united in matrimony to the late Ernestina Garza, and served in the United States Army. After receiving an honorable discharge he worked as a commercial painter. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers; Johnny Garza, Ralph Garza, and other family members. Survivors include three sons; Frankie (Gloria) Garza of Dallas, Rudy Garza of Fort Worth, Raul Garza of Robstown, two daughters; Myra (Richard) Ramirez of Bastrop, Gloria (Mariano) Sanchez of Pasadena, one brother; Luz Garza, Sr. of Beeville, two sisters; Mary Rojas, Stella Sanchez of Beeville, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24th from 4:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00p.m. Full military honors will be held in the patio area of Trevino Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25th at 9:15a.m. followed by the funeral mass at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. with Father Richard Gonzales, officiating. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
